Bruce Fleisher

Since turning 50 in October 1998, Bruce Fleisher has been the Senior PGA Tour's major success story! Bruce, who became the third youngest US Amateur Champion in 1968, began playing his most spectacular golf as a rookie on the PGA Senior Tour in 1999. Bursting out of nowhere, Bruce swept through his rookie year winning seven times, posting back-to-back victories in his first 2 events, a feat that had not been accomplished by anyone, including Palmer, Nicklaus, or Trevino! He concluded his spectacular rookie season by winning every one of the following Senior PGA Tour awards, which recognize the best performing player each year:

• PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD
• ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AWARD
• BYRON NELSON AWARD FOR THE BEST SCORING AVERAGE
• ARNOLD PALMER AWARD FOR LEADING MONEY WINNER
• CADILLAC SERIES WINNER

As one of today's leading professional golfers, Bruce Fleisher has developed a very strong following. A gentleman in every sense of the word, he combines the rare characteristics of humility and integrity, making him one of most well liked sports figures on the American and International scene. Bruce exemplifies the qualities of a true champion. The title caption on the GolfWorld cover which celebrated Bruce's 2001 US Senior Open Championship emphasizes his most marketable quality. Bruce Fleisher is, indeed, a "Nice Guy". His on and off the course demeanor reflects this and makes him a wonderful asset to the great game of golf and its fans.
